One brief a week, scored before it is seen.
Challenges exist to stop you practising only what you are already good at. The brief is chosen to be slightly uncomfortable for most of the board.

Monday, the brief drops
One design constraint, one skill focus. This week: a neo traditional rose with bold colour, no larger than four inches.

You get the stencil
The brief arrives as a print-ready stencil sized to the constraint, so everyone is working the same problem.

Submit by Sunday
Upload the finished practice piece. The coach scores it privately before it ever goes public.

Most tattoo forums are either brutal or useless. These rules are enforced, and they are the reason feedback here is specific enough to act on.
Critique the work, never the artist
Feedback has to name a specific line, pass, or decision. Vague negativity is removed and repeat offenders lose commenting.
Post the practice skin, not just the wins
The most upvoted threads in the dojo are failed attempts with an honest breakdown of what went wrong.
Levels are visible for a reason
You know whether advice is coming from a Level 6 or a Level 24 before you decide how much weight to give it.
No client work in the practice feed
Human skin work belongs in a licensed setting with a mentor, not in a training feed. It gets removed.
